UNITED’S # HT 1633 ALLOY may be used for 14K – 18 K white gold casting, which produces a Premium White finished color. # HT 1633 contains a boron deoxidizer.

You should obtain excellent results by following a few simple instructions.

MELTING We do recommend pre-alloying all alloy and fine gold with aggressive stirring & fluxing to assure a uniform mixture.

Step : 1 Pre- Alloying (Fine gold + alloy) Temperature 1080° - 1090° C

1976° - 1994° F

Step : 2 Casting Temperature for 14K – 18 K Alloyed Grain 1040° - 1050° C

1904° - 1922° F


United # HT 1633 premium white gold alloy is a high Nickel Alloy and is suitable only for small hand fabrication jobs. Do not use this alloy for continuous casting or large scale automated wire and sheet making. The # HT 1633 PremiumWhite Alloys can also be used for investment casting if desired.

MELTING The # HT 1633 Premium White Gold Alloys and fine gold should be melted together in a clean crucible. Put the alloy in the bottom of the crucible and the fine gold on top. Initial melting temperature should be 1080º C / 1976º F. Drop the temperature somewhat before pouring as listed below. Boric acid flux should be used to keep the metal clean during the melting process. The molten metal should be mixed well with a stirring rod before pouring to assure a good mix. A neutral or reducing cover gas is very helpful in melting white gold alloys.
